Meet Dr. Walkush
Dr. Jamie Walkush is a Wisconsin native and lifelong lover of animals of all kinds. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University on St. Kitts and completed her clinical training at the Royal Vet College in London, UK. She then pursued a year long internship at Animal Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Walkush gained clinical experience working in emergency medicine and general practice before refining her focus to holistic medicine, specifically Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) techniques.
Dr. Walkush completed her Certified Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) program in 2020 at the Chi Institute, where she travelled to Bejing to learn from the greats. Also through the Chi Institute, she’s become certified in Food Therapy and Tui-Na and has completed additional training in Chinese Herbal Medicine. She’s passionate about applying these ancient healing methods in a modern world.
Dr. Jamie is a Fear Free Certified Practitioner and is dedicated to reducing fear and stress in her patients. She holds a special interest in pain management, geriatric medicine, approaching behavioral cases integratively, and hospice care. She's passionate about promoting healing through whole foods.
